The TheFork connection is built but not switched on yet. When it opens, your AI agent will check real TheFork availability, book a table, and change or cancel a reservation inside the WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram or website chat the guest is already in.
How it worksWhat the setup actually looks like, from the connection screen to the first booking or record the AI handles in TheFork.
Your restaurant needs the DM Champ partner switched on in its TheFork account. Ask your TheFork account manager or TheFork support. Until it is done, TheFork does not let DM Champ reach the restaurant.
Under Settings, on the Booking and Calendar page, click Add restaurant on the TheFork card, paste your TheFork Restaurant ID and click Verify. The ID is the long UUID from TheFork Manager.
Give the restaurant a name, which is what you see in the list and what the AI calls it, then save. You can add several restaurants, one per TheFork Restaurant ID.
Open the agent, go to AI Abilities, turn on Let this agent book appointments, choose TheFork in the provider picker, and pick which connected restaurant this agent books for.
Add the menu, hours, parking, allergen policies and dress code so the agent answers around the reservation, and fill in your phone number and website for handovers.
Every screen and field is covered in the setup guide: TheFork documentation.
StatusIt runs on TheFork's partner API, and TheFork issues those partner credentials only after approving a partnership. Until that approval comes through, the TheFork card stays hidden in the app. There is no date to give yet. If you run your reservations in TheFork and want to know the moment it opens up, send a note to email support and you will be told when it does.
What the AI will doPicked as the booking provider on an agent, it checks bookable times for a date and a party size against live TheFork availability, and can look across a range of dates to tell a guest which days still have tables. It books with the guest's name, email, party size, date, time and any special request they mention, finds their own upcoming reservations, changes the date, time or party size, and cancels.
Honest about the catchSome reservations come back from TheFork as on request. The restaurant confirms those later rather than the table being held straight away, and the agent tells the guest exactly that instead of promising a confirmed table. Times that need a deposit or a card imprint cannot be booked in chat at all: the agent explains why and sends the guest to you or to your TheFork page to finish it there. On phone channels it looks up reservations by the number the conversation is on. On other channels it only knows about bookings made in that same chat.
Where reservations landYour team sees every one of these in TheFork Manager like any other booking, listed with TheFork Manager API as the channel it came from. They also appear on your Appointments page in DM Champ with a THEFORK badge. TheFork stays the system of record for the guest: it sends its own confirmation email, so DM Champ does not send a second one, and these reservations are not copied to Google Calendar.
Setup, when it opensYour restaurant will need the DM Champ partner enabled on its TheFork account, which is something TheFork switches on. Ask your TheFork account manager or TheFork support for it. Then in DM Champ, under Settings, Booking and Calendar, click Add restaurant on the TheFork card, paste the Restaurant ID, a UUID of letters, numbers and dashes from TheFork Manager, click Verify, name the restaurant and save. On the agent you pick TheFork and which connected restaurant it books for.
MenusThe TheFork connection covers reservations. It does not read your menu. To have the AI answer questions about dishes, prices, allergen notes and daily specials, add that detail to the agent's FAQs or knowledge sources, or upload the menu as a PDF or image to the media library with a note about when to send it. Operational answers like hours, parking, private dining and dress code belong in the same place.
The same AI agent that closes $40K deals in DMs is one click away. No signup, no demo call - open the chat, push back, see if you can break it.
