DM Champ connects to Zenchef so your AI agent can check table availability, take a booking, and handle a change or a cancellation inside the WhatsApp, SMS or Instagram conversation the guest is already in. Reservations stay in Zenchef. The messaging happens where your guests are.
How it worksWhat the setup actually looks like, from the connection screen to the first booking or record the AI handles in Zenchef.
In Zenchef open Settings, then Integrations, then Partners, and connect DM Champ under Reservation services. Until that is done, Zenchef will not give DM Champ access to the restaurant.
Open Settings, then Booking and Calendar under the Integrations group, and click Connect on the Zenchef card. Enter the Restaurant ID from your Zenchef dashboard URL and click Continue.
Type the restaurant name exactly as it appears in Zenchef, then click Add restaurant. You get three tries every five minutes, and the words have to match.
Open the agent, go to the AI Abilities step, turn on Let this agent book appointments on the Bookings card, and choose Zenchef in the provider picker underneath.
Put your menu, hours, parking, private dining and allergen policies into the agent's knowledge base so it can answer everything around the booking too.
Every screen and field is covered in the setup guide: Zenchef documentation.
What it coversOnce Zenchef is connected, DM Champ works with your Zenchef reservation data. A guest asking for a table gets real open time slots back instead of a link to a form. A confirmation message can go out when a reservation is created in Zenchef, reminders go out before the booking to cut no-shows, and a guest who wants to move or cancel can do it in the same conversation, with the change syncing back to Zenchef.
Before you startZenchef only lets DM Champ see a restaurant once the restaurant has turned the connector on in its own Zenchef account. In Zenchef, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Partners, find DM Champ under Reservation services and click Connect. Skip this and the Restaurant ID step in DM Champ stops with a message saying Zenchef has not given the platform access to that restaurant yet. If you cannot find the entry, Zenchef support can enable it for your restaurant.
SetupIn DM Champ you connect Zenchef under Settings, in the Integrations group, on the Booking and Calendar page. Enter your Restaurant ID, which sits in your Zenchef dashboard URL or can be supplied by Zenchef support, then type the restaurant name exactly as it appears in Zenchef. That name step is the access check: DM Champ never shows you the name, so you have to already know it. You get three tries every five minutes, and capitalisation and spacing do not matter.
Several restaurantsA group can add several Zenchef restaurants, one per Restaurant ID, from the same connected Zenchef row on the Booking and Calendar page. Each restaurant carries its own Pause and Remove buttons. Pausing stops the AI taking reservations for that restaurant while leaving the setup in place. Removing deletes it entirely, and you can add it back at any time with the same ID.
MenusThe Zenchef connection covers reservations. It does not read your Zenchef menu. To have the AI answer questions about dishes, prices, allergen notes and daily specials, put that detail in the agent's FAQs or knowledge sources, or upload the menu as a PDF or image to the media library with a note about when to send it. The bot then answers a vegetarian options question from the knowledge base and sends the file when a guest asks for the menu.
Beyond bookingsThe same setup covers the messaging around the visit: greeting new guests who reach out on any channel, following up after the visit to thank them and invite them back, and asking happy guests for a review. Broadcasts and Campaigns reach your guest list with holiday menus, wine dinners and events, and tags let you split that list into segments such as wine lovers, birthday celebrations or large parties.
The same AI agent that closes $40K deals in DMs is one click away. No signup, no demo call - open the chat, push back, see if you can break it.
